Assistant Interior Superintendent Job Description

General Job Description: C.R. Smith is seeking a full-time Assistant Interior Superintendent for new construction and renovation projects throughout Naples, FL. Specifically, in the high-end residential condominium market.

Summary of Position: Works with the on-site Sr. Superintendent and Interior Superintendent to deliver a 100% finished residence to the customer and ensure the highest level of quality.

Essential Duties:

  • Establish and manage QC procedures with field team. Responsible for all inspections, reporting, and coordination of trades for corrective actions.
  • Review and confirm all work-in-place is per the Contract Documents and homeowner selections.
  • Responsible for ensuring the quality of construction finishes meets or exceeds company standards and client expectations.
  • Able to self-perform punch-out work when needed (trim and carpentry, paint or drywall touch up, appliance adjustments, installing toilet accessories etc.)
  • Recognize when corrective work will have a cost impact, and at that time document and notify the Project Management team.
  • Properly maintains and reports upon project punch list status and schedule
    • Document construction/punch list activities including pictures of site and work in process
    • Issue and maintain short term schedules
  • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of construction supervision experience, preferably in high-end custom residential.
  • Works well in a team environment, inclusive of other’s ideas, willingness to cooperate, and has a positive attitude.
  • Comfortable using construction software on a tablet or smart device in the field for documenting punch lists or scheduling work.
  • Effectively communicates with both vendors, management team, and home buyers alike, and always represents the company in a professional manner.
  • Works well in a fast-pace environment and has excellent time management skills. Able to prioritize responsibilities and schedule work to meet deadlines.
  • Can read and interpret construction blue prints and specifications.
  • Has great attention for detail.
  • Bilingual is not a requirement but is a preferred skill set for the position.
  • Able to inspect all phases of metal framing and M.E.P. in rough stage.
  • Has hands-on interior renovation and finish work experience.
  • Exhibits strong customer service skills.
  • Proven problem-solving ability, and capable of determining solutions that are both beneficial to the client as well as cost efficient for the company.

Experience:

  • Construction: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Carpentry: 3 years (Preferred)
