Job Summary 

The Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales growth and maintaining strong customer relationships for Dolomite's aggregate, asphalt, and ready-mix concrete products throughout the Greater Rochester market. This role focuses on business development, account management, market analysis, and collaboration with internal teams to deliver exceptional customer service and profitable growth. 

Job Responsibilities  

  • Promote and sell Dolomite products and services to commercial, municipal, residential, and heavy highway customers.  

  • Manage both established and new accounts throughout the entire sales cycle. 

  • Develop, maintain, and execute strategic account plans to grow existing business and identify new opportunities.  

  • Prospect for and secure new customers, projects, and market opportunities.  

  • Prepare accurate and competitive pricing and quotations while coordinating closely with operations and production teams.  

  • Follow up on quotes, customer inquiries, and account-related matters, including collections support as needed.  

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, hauling subcontractors, and industry partners.  

  • Monitor market conditions, customer needs, and competitor activities, and share relevant insights with leadership and internal stakeholders.  

  • Maintain accurate and timely records of customer interactions, sales activity, quotations, and market intelligence within Salesforce.  

  • Conduct regular visits to customer locations, job sites, and Dolomite facilities.  

  • Represent Dolomite at industry events, trade associations, and networking functions to strengthen relationships and increase market presence.  

  • Collaborate effectively with operations, safety, quality control, billing, accounts receivable, and other business functions.  

  • Deliver a high level of customer service and professionalism in all interactions.  

 Job Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.  

  • Sales experience in construction materials, building products, industrial products, or a related industry is preferred.  

  • Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce. 

  • Travel within the assigned market area is required 

  • Occasional evening and weekend work may be required for customer meetings, industry events, or business needs 

  • Work may be performed in office settings, customer offices, manufacturing facilities, and active construction sites 

  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory
