Job description

Rockingham Steel is a full-service fabricator of reinforcing steel and supplier of related construction materials, and we are seeking a full-time Estimator/ Project Manager to join our team.

Due to success developing new markets, we have an immediate need of a hard working, career- oriented individual that can be trained to analyze construction plans, comprehensively estimate materials, and prepare bid documents for pricing.

For over 30 years, we have emphasized the quality of our service to our customers, and as a result we have been selected to be a supplier of choice for some of the most prestigious, high-profile jobs throughout the Mid-Atlantic.

Desired qualifications include:

· Strong office technology skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word

· Familiarity with CAD or similar technologies strongly desired

· Knowledge of building construction, materials and methods helpful

· Experience estimating construction materials desired, but not required

· Well-organized with strong attention to detail

· Ability to read and understand construction documents, including architectural and structural plans

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate effectively with team members, vendors and customers

· Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines

· Must be a team player with a winning attitude!

· Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved is desired
