Job Title: Estimator/Project Manager - Dry Wells and Concrete

JOB SUMMARY:

Prepare portions of contract proposal estimates for one or more disciplines in dry wells and concrete projects. You will manage all phases of construction, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget while developing new business opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prepare proposal estimates for heavy civil construction to include but not limited to dirt work, underground utilites and concrete
  • Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate. Determine applicable project plans and specifications.
  • Prepare estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work.
  • Develop accurate estimated costs to complete the applicable scope of work.
  • Maintain the estimating cost data base to ensure costs are up to date.
  • Review design options and recommend best solution based on cost, engineering quality, or availability of materials.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental requirements.
  • Support other department personnel as required.
  • Project Oversight:Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards in alignment with corporate policies.
  • Field Operations:Manage heavy civil work including mass excavation and site utilities, ensuring work is executed safely and in compliance with all project specifications.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience estimating and/or project management in the construction industry.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of heavy civil project management experience with focus on Dry Wells and Concrete
  • Knowledge of construction design, methods and finance.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills.Good organizational skills.
  • Skilled in assuming responsibility and reaching deadlines.
  • Familiarity / Proficiency with the following software or internet based programs: HCSS Heavy Bid, Trimble Business Center, BlueBeam, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Primavera P6, Building Connected, and Viewpoint.
