Job description

We have an opening for a General Labor position working at a precast concrete products manufacturing facility located in Cullman, AL. This is an evaluation-to-hire opportunity with potential for full-time placement.

* THIS IS PHYSICALLY DEMANDING JOB *

Skills/Qualifications

Must be able to read a tape measure with 100% accuracy.

Must be capable of working 40 to 55 hours/week on a consistent basis.

Basic math and reading skills for interpreting drawings and measurements.

Ability to work outdoors regardless of weather conditions.

Ability to lift and move heavy objects as required.

Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment, including standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.

Eligible candidates must possess and are required to wear 6” high steel toe boots that meet the ASTM F2413-05 foot protection standard. The approved footwear must have clear and legible identification codes consistent with these requirements.

Duties/Responsibilities

Support the pouring and finishing of concrete castings, following established procedures.

Assist in setting up forms and preparing products for pours according to drawings.

Cut wire and rebar, and tie wire for forming reinforcement as needed.

Assist in stripping products from forms and inserting additional components as required.

Use stencils to add designs or markings to products after they are stripped from the form.

Clean products thoroughly before transferring them to the yard for storage or shipment.

Pressure wash forms as necessary to ensure integrity and quality of concrete castings.

Keep work areas clean and organized to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
