Summary
Wapiti Gravel Suppliers, a division of N.P.A., is currently hiring Concrete Labourers for the 2026 Construction Season!

Reporting to the Foreman or Superintendent, the Concrete Labourer is responsible for providing physical labour support to perform a wide variety of tasks throughout all phases of concrete construction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare job site for pouring of concrete by removing obstacles or debris.
  • Load, unload and move construction materials around the worksite.
  • Assist in the set up preparation of concrete by placing and aligning forms and molds.
  • Mix, pour, spread, and level concrete using hand tools and machines as specified by blueprints, project plans and/or verbal instructions.
  • Clean forms, molds and tools as required.
  • Promote, execute, and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, sub-contractors, and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.
  • Must ensure a solid understanding of, and comply with, the principles of the Code of Ethics.
  • Must examine situations in light of the principles of the Code of Ethics.
Qualification | Requirements
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred
  • Class 5 Drivers License preferred
  • Previous experience working with a concrete finishing crew is considered an asset
Working Conditions
  • Weather dependent schedule of Monday to Saturday, up to 12 hours per day. Overtime is paid in accordance with applicable employment standards legislation.
  • Work is performed in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.
  • Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 LBS on a regular basis.
  • Use of Personal Protection Equipment is required.
  • Use of sunscreen, long sleeves, and appropriate headgear is recommended.
  • Must comply with the company's drug and alcohol testing requirements.
