Job description

Position Overview

Myers Concrete Construction, LP, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator/Project Manager to join our team. This dual-role position involves preparing competitive and accurate project estimates while effectively managing awarded construction projects to ensure successful execution, client satisfaction, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities Estimating

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and subcontractors.
  • Perform detailed takeoffs and prepare project bids, handling $5–10M+ annually.
  • Solicit and evaluate bids from major subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Compile comprehensive proposals, ensuring accurate inclusions/exclusions.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings, negotiate subcontract scopes, and finalize contracts.
  • Review safety, tax, payroll, and site requirements, ensuring all compliance needs are addressed.
  • Organize project documents using Dropbox and internal systems.

Project Management

  • Serve as the primary office contact throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate schedules, submittals, and subcontractor activities.
  • Attend periodic client/GC meetings and manage change orders.
  • Prepare monthly pay applications and oversee project budgets.
  • Address quality issues, punch lists, and closeout documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with permits, safety standards, and contract requirements.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in estimating and managing construction projects, preferably in commercial concrete construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, subcontractor coordination, and bid preparation.
  • Established experience in the concrete construction, including a strong network of general contractors and industry contacts, with the ability to develop relationships and identify prospective clients to support business development and bidding opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in document management tools like Dropbox and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with safety requirements, certified payroll, and contract review processes.
