Concord General Contracting is looking for an organized, proactive Assistant Project Manager who is ready to grow their commercial construction career and contribute to the successful delivery of our projects.

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will work alongside experienced project leaders and collaborate with Superintendents, Project Coordinators, Architects, subcontractors, and clients from project startup through closeout.

You will help manage project documentation, financial information, communication, and coordination while developing the experience needed to take on greater project leadership responsibilities.

At Concord, we are more than employees - we are Employee Owners. Your work directly contributes to the success of our projects, clients, fellow Employee Owners, and company.

What You\'ll Do
  • Manage submittals, requests for information (RFIs), action items, and project documentation in Procore.
  • Participate in project buyout and collaborate with the Preconstruction and Operations teams.
  • Coordinate and lead Owner-Architect-Contractor and subcontractor meetings, as assigned.
  • Prepare and distribute accurate meeting minutes and track required follow-up items.
  • Assist with change events, change orders, budget reviews, billings, forecasting, subcontractor pay applications, and other project financial activities.
  • Track potential cost impacts and ensure financial and contract information remains accurate and current.
  • Help maintain permits, inspections, regulatory approvals, certifications, and other project requirements.
  • Identify and communicate project risks, errors, omissions, and potential liability concerns.
  • Maintain a consistent jobsite presence and remain accessible to project team members.
  • Build positive working relationships with clients, architects, subcontractors, and project partners.
  • Help the project team provide the Ultimate Client Experience from project startup through closeout.
What We\'re Looking For
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred; equivalent construction experience may be considered.
  • Previous experience in commercial construction, project engineering, project coordination, or a related role preferred.
  • General knowledge of construction documents, contracts, submittals, RFIs, change orders, project schedules, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and working knowledge of Procore, Bluebeam, BuildR, Microsoft Project, and Salas.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate project documentation.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to take initiative and follow through with limited direction.
  • Ability to obtain an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card and any other background clearances or certifications required for assigned projects.
Why Concord?

We exist to change the definition of a team. That means working collaboratively, leading without ego, and treating others the way we want to be treated.

As an Employee Owner, you have a stake in Concord\'s success and the opportunity to grow alongside the company. You will work with experienced construction professionals, gain exposure to multiple areas of project delivery, and continue building the skills needed to advance your career.

Concord has been recognized as a \"Top Place to Work\" by The Arizona Republic, one of the Phoenix Business Journal's \"Best Places to Work\", and a \"Best of Arizona Business\" general contractor.

If you are ready to grow your career, take ownership of your work, and help build exceptional projects and client experiences, we would like to hear from you.
