What is a concierge executive assistant?

Concierge Executive Assistants are specialized administrative professionals who provide high-level support to executives, combining traditional executive assistant duties with personalized concierge services. Their responsibilities often include managing schedules, travel arrangements, and correspondence, as well as handling personal tasks such as event planning, reservations, and lifestyle management. They are known for their discretion, problem-solving skills, and ability to anticipate the needs of the executives they support. This role requires exceptional organizational abilities and a strong commitment to providing top-tier service. Concierge Executive Assistants often work in corporate settings, luxury industries, or for high-net-worth individuals.

How does a concierge executive assistant typically manage multiple high-priority requests from executives and clients?

A Concierge Executive Assistant often juggles numerous urgent requests by leveraging strong organizational skills and prioritization techniques. They use digital tools such as task management software and shared calendars to track and schedule tasks efficiently, ensuring that executive and client needs are met promptly. Regular communication with executives and team members is key, as it helps clarify priorities and expectations. This role requires adaptability and proactive problem-solving to handle last-minute changes or emergencies while maintaining a high level of service.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a concierge executive assistant, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Concierge Executive Assistant, you need exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience in administrative support, often supported by a degree in business administration or a related field. Familiarity with office software, scheduling platforms, and sometimes travel management systems is commonly required. Outstanding interpersonal skills, discretion, and proactive problem-solving are soft skills that set top performers apart. These abilities ensure seamless support for executives, efficient multitasking, and high-level client satisfaction in demanding environments.

The main difference between a Concierge Executive Assistant and a Personal Assistant lies in their work environment and scope. In contrast, a Personal Assistant handles personal tasks and schedules for individuals or families, usually in private settings. Both roles require strong organizational skills but serve different needs and environments.

Concierge executive assistants tend to earn higher salaries in major financial and business hubs where demand for high-level support is greater, such as large metropolitan areas with a concentration of corporate headquarters and luxury services. Experience, specialized skills, and working for high-net-worth individuals or executive-level clients also significantly impact earning potential.

Job description

About EMC Companies:

Are you the kind of person who naturally thinks ahead, stays organized, and takes pride in making things run smoothly? EMC Companies is looking for a proactive, service-oriented Executive Assistant to join our mission-driven team. This is a full-time role with a flexible schedule, ideal for a self-starter who enjoys ownership, efficiency, and supporting a high-touch service business.

If you care deeply about customer experience, enjoy problem-solving behind the scenes, and love being the person who keeps everything on track, we want to hear from you.

EMC is a high-end concierge and home management company that prides itself on expert problem-solving and exceptional customer service. We help busy homeowners reclaim their time by handling everything from routine maintenance to complex projects.

Our culture is built on three core values:

This is not a “wait for instructions” role. Success in this position requires someone who anticipates needs, follows through without reminders, and genuinely cares about the people they’re supporting - both clients and teammates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative & Operational Support
  • Scheduling & Follow-Ups
  • Client Communication
  • Proactive Problem Solving
  • Owner & Team Support

Qualifications:

  • Self-Starter & Proactive Thinker
  • Highly Organized & Efficient
  • Client-Focused
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Tech & Office Skills

  • Schedule: Flexible (Mainly M-F)
  • Compensation: $80,000 DOE
  • Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance
