Job description

Job Summary:
The Concessions Supervisor is responsible for the following functions, this includes opening and closing the Concessions as needed, food prep and production, stocking, assisting in monthly inventory, delivery of products from vendors, working with our third-party F&B operators, and training Concession attendants. The Concessions Supervisor reports directly to the Director of Food & Beverage.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:
  • Provide superior guest service to visitors, guests, clients, vendors, and staff at all times.
  • Responsible for assisting in administration functions including preparing opening/closing checklists and assisting in month end counting of inventory.
  • Responsible for ensuring the quality of foods and services in order to maintain utmost satisfaction of guests.
  • Responsible for preparation and presentation of all food items, continuously, ensuring a high level of professional and clean display.
  • Operate POS; responsible for accepting payment from guests and making change as necessary.
  • Ensure the concessions area is thoroughly cleaned, all equipment is sanitized, and supplies are fully re-stocked at the end of each day.
  • Assists Director of Food & Beverage in training of all Food & Beverages Concessions Staff:
  • Planning, assigning, and directing work for employees.
  • Supervises concessions employees for events.
  • Complies with the Health Department and Alcohol Commission regulations.
  • This position is very hands-on and requires extensive interaction with both staff and customers during events.
  • Assists the Concessions Manager in Ordering product and equipment.
  • Assists the Concessions Manager in Food & Beverage ordering and receiving.
  • Responsible for protecting public health by operating safe and sanitary facilities.
  • Ensure all food and beverage areas are maintained in a safe and sanitary manner by adhering to regular cleaning and waste management disposal, governed by regulating bodies.
  • Train staff on all handwash functions, 3 compartment sink functions, food temperature functions, and food storage functions.
  • Address complaints and concerns of visitors, guests, clients, vendors, and staff and work professionally to create positive and guest-services oriented solutions.
  • All other duties as assigned.

PART-TIME / HOURLY POSITION
Requirements
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Desired Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license is highly desired.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to calculate basic math functions (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, percentages) as they relate to POS Cash/credit transactions, cash reconciliation, and product inventory.
  • Must have the ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly.
  • Must be a flexible and reliable team player, both within own department and entire organization.
  • Required to be able to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner which focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative environment.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of performance, working quickly without compromising quality.
  • Required to be able to work a flexible schedule (including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed).
  • Must have the ability to demonstrate uncompromised judgment and discretion regarding confidential matters while maintaining confidentiality.

Physical Requirements for Position:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • The ability to work in various Ohio weather conditions, inside and outside.?
  • The ability to work with hot, cold, and hazardous equipment as well as operate phones, computers, copiers/scanners, and other office equipment.??
  • The ability to move safely over uneven terrain, steps, or in construction zones.
