Job Description Summary
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT:
The University & Community Events Office operates the Concession Stand in the Vern Riffe Center for the Arts.
POSITION SUMMARY, ROUTINE TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist with operations and management of concession stand and staff.
  • Assist with maintaining appearance/cleanliness of concession stand.
  • Assist with inventory of supplies.
  • Must get a SafeServe certificate (will be completed once hired)
  • Opening and closing of concession stand and following procedures.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
  • Heavy lifting (up to 25 pounds)
  • May work nights and evenings
  • Must be able to adhere to all safety standards and work practices established by the university.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Considerable lifting, bending, and walking are required to successfully do this job.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Registered full-time SSU student
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and follow instructions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and social media platforms
