Job Description:

Responsible for safe and effective rocket engine test and assembly of the RS-25 engine. This position works in concert with related disciplines, contractors, and customers to ensure the successful testing of L3Harris products.

Essential Functions:

  • Supports the assembly, test, and verification of rocket engine components.
  • Conducts leak checks, inspections, and other engine related tasks.
  • Creates and maintains check sheets for work performed by technicians.
  • Works with Quality, Engineering, and Safety organizations to achieve common goals.
  • Communicates with contacts inside and outside of own department to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures.
  • Recommends enhancements to systems and processes.
  • Works to achieve operational targets for specific programs and projects.
  • Works under general supervision.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated strength in teaming and collaboration.
  • Experience working in a testing environment.
