Summary:
Administrator and Clinician within Therapy practice. Requires clinical expertise in evaluation and treatment. Must assume responsibility for direction, supervision and coordination of activities within the Therapy Departments.
Responsibilities:
Provides direct patient care when needed, including evaluation and consulations. Plans therapy programs, establishes treatment goals and administers treatment to restore body functions and strength, relieve pain and prvent disability through the use of various procedures. Confers with medical providers regarding patient tests and treatments, including patient evaluations and therapy programs.
Spearheads new treatment approaches and develops structure of new programs.
Develops active learning experiences within Therapy department.
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of developments in therapy field.
Maintains therapy equipments, apparatus and work area to ensure proper working conditions; oversees preventative maintenance and arranges necessary repair services. Recommends itms for purchase.
Coordinates/delegates services, procedures and daily operations for the facility.
Maintains regular contact with referring medical personnel, including pysicians, rehabilitation nurses, social workers, etc. Promotes effective and harmonious interation with medical personnel.
Evaluates and resolves operational problems including staff and patients's complaints in concert with departmental supervisors.
Assists in the development of appropriate referral procedures for therapy patients.
Develops strategy for meeting production goals.
Assists in updating all applicable department policy and procedure manuals.
