The XIG Platform Management team broadly is responsible for portfolio implementation and trading, liquidity management, portfolio construction and monitoring, external manager onboarding, product development and launch, and overseeing the business control framework as well as several strategic growth initiatives. The team works in concert with the investment and client teams within XIG, and with functional teams across the AWM division including Central Trading, Fund Accounting, Operations, Technology, Legal, and Compliance. Within Platform Management, specific teams focus on discrete investment platform and portfolio activities. The Hedge Fund Investments & Structuring role within Platform Management will focus primarily on business elements across i) third-party hedge fund onboarding and investment structuring, and ii) client and investment contract negotiations requiring close collaboration with Legal, Tax and other business partner teams. In addition, this individual will play an active role in a range of strategic platform initiatives, ongoing platform innovation, and create further efficiencies for implementing investments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the execution of critical elements of the Investment Onboarding function, which is responsible for structuring and implementing our partnerships with many of the world's leading hedge funds. This includes supporting contract negotiations with hedge fund COOs, CFOs, and GCs, preparing materials, and coordinating across internal business partner teams and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with project management and oversight of hedge fund onboarding activities for XIG funds and client platforms with focus on driving engagement with internal stakeholders, providing critical decision-making support and analysis, and managing a robust pipeline and competing priorities to achieve XIG hedge fund portfolio investment objectives and timelines.
  • Build in-depth partnership with senior members of XIG investment and client teams, alternative capital markets sales teams, internal platform operations teams and external investment managers to assist in evaluating, designing, and implementing access to deal opportunities with focus on profitability, efficiency, and scale.
  • Maintain and oversee portfolio investment data including hedge fund investment terms and legal entity information, ensuring accuracy for use in portfolio management and trading systems.
  • Organize and archive deal documents and contracts, negotiation summaries, and critical decision support materials for hedge fund onboarding projects.
  • Coordinate materials for pipeline discussions, management reporting, and status updates to support senior team decision-making.
  • Support hedge fund portfolio management and implementation activities as needed, including product development and launch, trading, liquidity management, and client inquiries.
  • Actively participate in XIG-wide projects, strategic initiatives, and ongoing platform innovation including integration of AI tools into our investment implementation and portfolio management processes.
  • Adhere to strict confidentiality standards and internal controls for sensitive client and deal information, and compliance with applicable regulations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with related coursework.
  • Prior industry experience including summer internships, preferably in alternative asset management. While not required, prior experience and understanding of hedge fund investing and operating mechanics is ideal.
  • Enthusiastic, self-starter with orientation toward managing sensitive and business critical initiatives and negotiations.
  • Demonstrates a collaborative, team-oriented approach, with the ability to engage effectively across partner teams, foster relationships with key stakeholders, and drive timely follow-up on deliverables.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present clearly and build rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
