As a Product Information Engineer, you will work directly with our COMSOL Multiphysics ® platform product, which is used in all fields of engineering, manufacturing, and scientific research to simulate designs, devices, and processes. You will also work with its many add‑on modules, which provide specialized functionality for electromagnetics, structural mechanics, acoustics, fluid flow, heat transfer, and chemical engineering.

In this role, you will enable our users to better leverage the software’s features and capabilities by proactively creating clear and effective written and video materials, primarily for the COMSOL Learning Center. Your responsibilities will include writing technical articles and producing tutorial videos to build a foundational understanding of the software, and eventually expanding into more complex projects based on your skills and interests. You will also coordinate and support colleagues to transform their knowledge into digital training materials.

As part of the Product Information team, you will collaborate closely with product development, marketing, and sales teams, bridging the gap between technical expertise and end‑user needs through clear technical communication. You will advocate for the resources our team develops and help enhance our users’ knowledge of digital training resources that support the adoption of COMSOL Multiphysics worldwide.

This is an in‑office position.

Responsibilities
  • Work in the COMSOL Multiphysics software and write and record content on how to use it

  • Aid in coordinating content projects related to the platform product as well as various add‑on products
  • Aid in coordinating digital training efforts
  • Learn and become proficient with the authoring tools, publishing platforms, and processes used to create, review, and deliver digital learning resources
  • Outline, record, and support the production of marketing and tutorial videos
  • Review highly technical content for a broader audience
  • Serve as a resource for internal teams by sharing knowledge about the software and its capabilities
Minimum Qualifications
  • B.S. in an engineering field
  • Ability to communicate complex topics between technical and non‑technical parties
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage priorities
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Current eligibility to work in the U.S.; no sponsorship for employment‑based visas will be offered for this position, F‑1 visa holders not accepted
Helpful Qualifications
  • M.S. in an engineering field
  • Experience with CAD or CAE software, namely COMSOL Multiphysics
  • Experience with project management
  • 1–3 years of professional experience working cross‑functionally with product development, sales, and marketing teams
  • A well‑rounded skillset with marketing and sales acumen
  • Multidisciplinary technical aptitude beyond a core engineering discipline
  • Interest or experience with technical writing
  • Interest or experience with video production/editing
Benefits
  • Compensation commensurate with skills and experience
  • Health and 401(k) plans with a company match and other benefits
