The Acquisition and Technology Analysis Group within JOID specializes in the application of multi-disciplinary analytic skills to support multiple clients within theย Department of Warย (DoW). These clients include the Office of the Underย Secretary of Warย for Research and Engineering (OUSW(R&E)), Office of the Underย Secretary of Warย for Acquisition and Sustainment (OUSW(A&S)), DARPA, the Joint Staff, and USINDOPACOM. We have aย futureย need for an OPIR Acquisition Program Analyst to provide onsite support at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.ย
Responsibilities
The Program Analyst will support the Deputy Assistantย Secretary of Warย for Strategic, Space, and Intelligence Portfolio Management (DASWย (SSIPM)) in the Space and Missileย Defense (SMD) Directorate. The candidate willย be responsible forย supporting the remote sensing portfolio focusing on Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) and space-based environmental monitoring mission areas. The ideal candidate will apply deep Defense Acquisitionย expertise, and experience with programs including Next Generation OPIR, Space-Based Infrared System (SBIRS),ย DoWย Weather satellite programs, Future Operationally Resilient Ground Evolution (FORGE), and Enterprise Ground Service (EGS) architecture. Will support majorย DoWย staffs and senior leaders, develop decision-ready material for senior leaders, and apply the initiative to navigate headquarters and acquisition processes to support DASWย portfolio management responsibilities.ย
Qualifications
Required:ย
- 7+ years of acquisition, design, or operational experience with OPIR and space-based environmental monitoringย
- 10+ years of experience with military operations, acquisition, or design of military systems in generalย
- Understanding of theย DoDI 5000 seriesย
- Able to work fully onsite based on client needsย
Desired:ย
- Previousย experience supporting a PEO or PMOย
