Job description

Responsibilities & Qualifications
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • While working from a central location to disperse an agency-wide customer base, the candidate will use the Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) a National Security Agency (NSA)-led program, for key management, accounting, and distribution.
  • The candidate will be responsible for account registrations, privilege management, key ordering, destruction and accounting to direct the management and distribution of physical (i.e. Controlled Cryptographic Items or hard copy keying) material.
  • In order to mitigate security risks, the candidate will coordinate closely with government personnel, agency system administrators, and other support personnel to ensure proper maintenance of the KMI system and related devices, including software upgrades, database management, review and revision of KMI/COMSEC standard operating procedures (SOP), and COMSEC training for hand receipt holders or local elements, if required.
  • Duties will also include assisting with the development and support of Emergency Actions Plans (EAP).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Top-Secret clearance required.
  • DOD 8570 IAT II Level compliant certification required.
  • Three (3) to Five (5) years of professional experience.
  • Associates, Bachelor of Arts, or Science required or related work experience.
  • KMI Management Client (MGC) Operator Training.

Overview
The DTRA IT Infrastructure supports approximately 5000 users using distributed operations between the National Capital Region (NCR) and DTRA Albuquerque, NM while supporting facilities on Fort Belvoir, VA, as well as sites in Albuquerque, NM, and a variety of CONUS and OCONUS locations. As a member of the DTRA COMSEC Management Team, the candidate will support multiple computer networks at various levels of security classification, providing the full range of support services required to manage the day-to-day operation and administration of the DTRA Communication Security (COMSEC) activities and end-to-end support for a variety of cryptographic devices.
