Job Description

Position Summary

Miller Newell Engineering is expanding into Northwest Arkansas and is seeking an MEP Drafter / BIM Technician to play a key role in building our NWA presence. This position will work closely with senior engineering staff to support mechanical, electrical, and plumbing system design for commercial and industrial projects.

While Miller Newell is firmly established in Newport, Arkansas, this role represents an opportunity to help grow and shape our Northwest Arkansas operations from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain 2D drawings and 3D BIM models for MEP systems

  • Support HVAC, plumbing, and electrical layouts in Revit

  • Assist in the preparation of construction documents

  • Coordinate designs across disciplines to ensure constructability

  • Participate in project meetings and internal coordination

  • Maintain drafting standards and quality control

  • Develop BIM standards including Revit Families, Templates, and other Libraries

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or technical certification in drafting, engineering technology, or related field experience preferred

  • 2+ years of MEP specific drafting or BIM experience preferred

  • Proficiency in Revit required; AutoCAD strongly preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a collaborative environment
