Description

Job Title: Machine Operator

Reports To: Department Supervisor

FLSA Status: Hourly Non-Exempt


2nd Shift

Hours: Monday-Friday 2:45PM-11:15PM

Overtime is required based on production needs. 

Pay: $19.50/Hour


Summary Tends machine that performs one or more packaging functions such as filling, marking, and/or labeling by performing the following duties.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Starts machine and observes operation to ensure machine is operating properly.

Stops machine and reports malfunction to supervisor.

Makes minor adjustments or repairs such as opening valves, changing cutting dies, setting guides, clearing away damaged product containers, and setting machine zeros. 

Inspects filled packs to ensure that product is packaged according to specifications.

Demonstrates good time management in choosing the best time to send your line to break when the lead is unavailable. 

Feeds product to conveyors.

Mounts supplies such as film on spindles.
