Location: Montreal (Quebec), Canada (Hybrid)

In this position, you'll be based in the Montreal office for a minimum of three days a week, with the flexibility to work from home for some of your working week. The Global Talent, Learning & Development (L&D) Team provides support to Computershare globally, providing services across learning and development, diversity and inclusion (D&I) and talent and performance management. Learning Consultants will be expected to operate at a global level, to ensure the effective delivery of global L&D Programmes.

A role you will love

Learning Consultants will be responsible for the delivery of Global L&D programmes, including on-boarding, core skills, leadership, management and talent development, and D&I/wellbeing learning initiatives.

Working closely with the Learning Partners, they will also provide critical support to delivery learning and development initiatives in support of People Plans globally. 

Through effective delivery, the role holder will also support the ongoing promotion of talent, learning and development opportunities to support improved engagement and create a great employee experience across Computershare globally.

Other key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

  • Support Learning Partners in developing and maintaining global L&D programs aligned with People Plans 
  • Conduct learning needs analysis and contribute to high-quality learning design and project planning 
  • Design and deliver training programs in line with Global Talent, L&D standards 
  • Facilitate training sessions and evaluate effectiveness to ensure impact on performance
  • Manage and maintain global L&D programmes, including onboarding, core skills, and management training 
  • Coordinate and deliver the global training calendar within agreed timelines
    • Collaborate with the Head of Talent & Performance to support performance management initiatives and training 
    • Maintain and support the Global Performance Toolkit and manager capability development 
    • Contribute to embedding a high-performance culture across the organization 
    • Support D&I & wellbeing initiatives through learning programs and events 
    • Deliver and enable learning content for wellbeing, D&I, ERGs, and underrepresented groups 
    • Gather stakeholder feedback and continuously improve learning outcomes and experience

What will you bring to the role?

  • Strong facilitation and coaching skills with experience delivering training to employees and leaders 
    • Solid understanding of the end-to-end learning cycle and L&D best practices 
    • Awareness of performance management principles and their application in learning solutions 
    • Ability to work globally using virtual tools, with sensitivity to cultural differences 
    • Good understanding of business strategy and People Plans to deliver commercially relevant L&D solutions 
    • Capability to coach, mentor, and support employees across levels without direct people management responsibility
    • Adaptability in a fast-paced environment with a problem-solving mindset and adherence to global L&D standards 
    • Ability to manage multiple training initiatives and schedules to deliver high-impact outcomes 
    • Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills to engage diverse global audiences 
    • Relevant L&D experience required; professional certifications (e.g., L&D, coaching, DDI) are preferred

Learning Consultants will be expected to keep up to date with appropriate Regulation & Compliance through effective and timely completion of the annual regulatory learning calendar. From time to time the role holder may be required to develop a deeper understanding of specific regulation(s) to support the delivery of compliant learning interventions. Learning Consultants must always ensure that all training created that has a regulatory impact is appropriately validated and signed off by the Computershare Risk & Compliance function.

Learning Consultant role with be located within a certain region and wherever possible work allocation will require the role holder to operate within their designated time-zone. However, the role has global coverage, and the role holder will be expected to work flexibility to cater for time zone coverage from time to time. Although it is anticipated that the role can be done from any location utilising virtual working tools, some travel to Computershare locations may be required occasionally. This could include local or international travel, but this would be exceptional.
