Job Summary:
The CAD Drafter is primarily responsible for drafting and blueprint creation, technical order entry, document control, computer system/database management and some methods/routing documentation maintenance.
Essential Functions:
- Proactively supports a culture of safety and quality as top organizational priorities.
- Actively participates in ongoing training initiatives and collaborates with team members and leadership to share information in a structured process.
- Create working drawings for all stages of the component build process
- Create working drawings from the measurement of solid customer samples
- Maintain daily part revisions throughout the entire drawing and database system
- Assist in the creation, revision and modification of part routings
- Control all drawings within document control system and protocols
- Assist in the continuous updating and upgrading of MRP system
- Other engineering and administrative duties and projects as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- At least an Associate's Degree in STEM-related discipline or equivalent work experience
- 2-4 years of experience with Solidworks software or similar
- Proficiency with blueprint drawing using Solidworks or equivalent
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, drawing and tolerancing disciplines
- Familiarity with 3D Viewing, imaging, and drawing of complex geometries
- Proficient in basic math including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
- Basic knowledge or relational databases
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Ability to work with other team members at all corporate levels
- Ability to work independently in a self-motivated fashion
- Strong organizational skills with high functioning work prioritization and time management
- Ability to multitask and handle stressful work deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4+ Years drafting experience
- Hands-on experience with manufacturing
- Hands-on experience with measurement systems
