About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Computer Specialist to join our warehouse operations team. In this role, you will inspect, diagnose, test, and process returned computers and home office electronics, ensuring products are accurately evaluated and prepared for resale, return to inventory, or other disposition.

This position combines technical troubleshooting with warehouse operations and requires someone who is comfortable working with both Windows and Apple (Mac) computers, diagnosing hardware and software issues, restoring devices to factory settings, and documenting findings. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment and takes pride in accuracy, organization, and efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect, test, and diagnose returned Windows PCs, Apple computers, and home office electronics.
  • Identify hardware, software, and functionality issues.
  • Verify serial numbers, product condition, accessories, and completeness.
  • Perform factory resets and securely remove customer data from returned devices.
  • Ensure customer accounts are fully signed out before processing.
  • Document inspection results, diagnostics, and product condition within the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Jira.
  • Process returned merchandise to meet established service level agreements.
  • Work closely with Customer Service to resolve return inquiries, exchanges, and credits.
  • Update order statuses and provide timely communication regarding returned merchandise.
  • Assist in locating misplaced merchandise by collaborating with Receiving and Returns teams.
  • Maintain organized workstations and inventory using 5S principles.
  • Participate in quarterly inventory cycle counts.
  • Support other warehouse operational needs as assigned.
  • Work overtime during peak business periods as required.
Qualifications
  • Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting Windows PCs and Apple (Mac) computers.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and common software issues.
  • Experience performing factory resets and secure data removal.
  • Ability to identify damaged or defective components.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic Microsoft Excel and computer proficiency.
  • Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), POS systems, or Jira is preferred.
  • Previous e-commerce, electronics, repair, refurbishment, or warehouse experience is preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout an entire shift.
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse and distribution center environment.
  • Ability to safely handle electronics and shipping materials.
Preferred Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in computer repair, IT support, electronics diagnostics, refurbishment, or a related technical role.
  • Experience in e-commerce returns processing or warehouse operations.
  • Familiarity with inventory management and distribution center processes.
