Job Summary
Galaxie Floor Stores is looking for a dependable, hardworking, and organized Warehouse Coordinator to oversee the daily operations of our warehouse in Apple Valley. This is a hands-on position that plays a vital role in keeping our installation crews, delivery drivers, and showroom running efficiently.
The ideal candidate enjoys staying active, takes pride in organization, and can balance physical work with planning and coordination. Every day is different, and you'll be responsible for ensuring materials are received, organized, prepared, and delivered accurately while helping coordinate daily operations.
Responsibilities
  • Receive and unload incoming freight shipments safely and efficiently.
  • Operate forklifts to unload, organize, and store flooring materials in designated warehouse locations.
  • Prepare and load installer and delivery trucks each morning with the correct materials.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Learn to operate our carpet cutting equipment and accurately cut carpet to required measurements.
  • Read work orders, measurements, and installation paperwork to ensure material accuracy.
  • Coordinate daily installation schedules and delivery routes.
  • Work closely with installers, sales staff, subcontractors, and management to keep projects running smoothly.
  • Make local deliveries when needed using company vehicles.
  • Assist with inventory organization and material movement throughout the warehouse.
  • Perform routine warehouse maintenance and equipment checks.
  • Help solve day-to-day operational challenges and jump in wherever needed.
  • Complete additional warehouse, delivery, and operational tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous warehouse, construction, flooring, logistics, or delivery experience preferred.
  • Comfortable operating forklifts or willing to become certified and trained.
  • Ability to safely lift and move heavy flooring materials throughout the day.
  • Ability to accurately read measurements and work with dimensions.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Comfortable using basic computer programs and learning company software.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Comfortable driving pickup trucks and pulling trailers or willing to learn.
