Position Summary:

Warehouse Picker Packers assist with filling orders in a warehouse setting. They pick and pack goods as part of the Supply Chain team. The Picker Packer is part of the warehouse staff and works in conjunction with Supply Chain management. Pickers: pick orders and process them by pulling product throughout the warehouse and stage the items in the pack processing area. Packers: perform double checks for accuracy, pack orders in appropriate boxes, mark and label product containers, and make sure that orders are ready for transportation.

Quality inspections are a task that all warehouse staff are responsible for. Each individual product is picked and inspected to ensure that all products are held to our company standards. Any damaged products are required to be reported to management. The picker packer is responsible for ensuring accurate delivery of finished goods products to customers.

Assist with restocking of inventory and packing supplies, unload trucks of warehouse materials as needed. Maintain organization and cleaning of product storage areas. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use mobile devices to pick finished goods products in the warehouse based off work orders; by product location, item, and quantity
  • Ensure that orders are picked and packed accurately; perform quality inspections as instructed
  • Stage items correctly for packing and shipping
  • Box up, shrink wrap, label and package shipments as required
  • Replenish floor stock of shipping materials using pallet jacks; while ensuring safety regulations are followed
  • Maintain and organize product storage areas (coolers, freezers, shelves)
  • Unload and load materials to/from vendor vehicles as needed
  • Ensures warehouse goals are met
  • Assist with putting inventory into locations for order fulfillment as needed
  • Follows company policies and practices as outlined in Handbook and follow guidelines regarding safety as outline in the AWAIR, Chemical Hygiene and Exposure Control manuals in accordance to the job
  • Performs additional duties as assigned

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of warehouse processes
  • Basic knowledge of mathematics
  • Proficient in basic computer programs
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time
  • Ability to work in coolers and freezers for periods of time
  • Ability to act independently and with a team on routine assignments and projects
  • Ability to communicate professionally; both written and verbal
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and perform at a high-level
  • Ability to work hours that conform to business operations and/or the department needs
  • Ability to problem solve; including the ability to identify problems and bring to management to evaluate a course of action
  • Skills to accurately pick and pack products for shipment

Education and Experience:

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) with a minimum of 0-2 years of warehouse/shipping related experience. Must have the ability to pay attention to detail so that orders are accurate. Must be able to work independently and with a team. Working knowledge of basic computer programs and typing skills are required. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and have good communication skills, both written and verbal.
