Get Well Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated and empathetic Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in providing specialized mental health care remotely. This full-time position is designed for professionals with a passion for trauma recovery, therapy, and holistic mental health support. You will work with a diverse clientele who are navigating the complexities of trauma, including PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' histories and determine appropriate therapeutic interventions.
  • Develop and execute personalized treatment plans that emphasize recovery and resilience-building, in collaboration with clients.
  • Apply evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), in both individual and group therapy settings.
  • Facilitate group sessions aimed at helping clients process trauma and develop effective coping strategies.
  • Work side by side with psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive, integrative care for all patients.
  • Provide crisis intervention strategies and support during trauma-related emergencies.
  • Educate clients and their families on trauma responses and available resources for recovery.
  • Maintain precise and confidential records in compliance with health regulations and ethical standards.
  • Engage in regular team meetings, case consultations, and professional development opportunities to refine skills in trauma-informed care.
  • Stay current with the latest research and evidence-based practices in trauma therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a counselor at Get Well Counseling Center, you will focus primarily on individuals affected by trauma, including those experiencing PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your role is to provide not just therapy, but also a pathway for healing, helping clients to process their experiences and achieve mental wellness. Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited program.
