Work Environment

Mental Health Therapists will utilize telehealth technologies to engage with patients effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, taking into account individual medical histories and conditions affecting mental wellness.
• Develop, implement, and monitor integrated treatment plans that focus on both psychiatric and medical needs to optimize patient outcomes.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based practices tailored to each patient's unique circumstances.
• Engage in regular collaboration with medical providers to ensure coordinated care and alignment on treatment plans.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, displaying empathy and urgency.
• Empower patients through education, helping them understand the connection between mental and physical health to enhance self-management of their conditions.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation, adhering strictly to legal and ethical standards.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings, case consultations, and care planning to ensure comprehensive support across patient services.
• Stay current with relevant research, best practices, and advancements in integrated mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic focuses on diverse patient populations, including individuals coping with co-occurring medical conditions such as autoimmune disorders, chronic pain, and substance use disorders. The successful candidate will be driven by a commitment to enhance the overall well-being of patients while navigating the complexities of their health challenges.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.
• Demonstrated experience addressing the mental health needs of individuals with diverse medical conditions.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a strong ethical foundation.
• Proficient in using electronic health record systems and telehealth platforms to engage with clients.
• A strong ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team, maintaining professional boundaries and confidentiality.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with prior experience in integrated mental health and medical care settings are particularly encouraged to apply. Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic approaches, crisis intervention techniques, and patient education formats will be an advantage in this role.

Compensation and Benefits
