Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), on an individual and group basis.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process their traumatic experiences, develop effective coping mechanisms, and foster healing.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and clinical staff to deliver cohesive and person-centered care.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention and support for patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.
  • Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, effective coping strategies, and available mental health resources to empower them in their journeys.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential clinical documentation in accordance with ethical guidelines and legal standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications
  • A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Active and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Texas.
  • A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience is preferred, with a strong emphasis on trauma-informed care.
