Job description

Production Support Specialist is responsible for supporting production for MFCP High Precision facility. This position will support Gasket and Seal Production, CNG Hose production and Stratoflex Hose production through estimating and continuous monitoring of production capacity and efficiencies.  Production Support specialist will act as a liaison between production staff, customer service and quality to ensure all jobs are quoted and produced accurately to ensure the facilities’ profitability.

Primary Duties:

  • Apply creativity to solve problems.
  • Support customer service by providing estimates for new and existing opportunities.
  • Create cut files from customer provided documents.
  • Create inspection files accurately to customer requirements.
  • Coordinate efforts with all appropriate departments and personnel to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Strive to consistently maximize profitability by utilizing programs, promotions and product support materials.
  • Maintain and develop professional/technical knowledge through relevant professional associations while serving as a technical resource for others in the organization.
  • Communicate regularly with management on production capacity, challenges and opportunities to improve. Review accounts, attend training, and work with factory representatives regularly.
  • Ensure that the highest level of customer service and ethical behavior are followed.
  • Address and resolve all production requests with a positive approach.
  • Act as a technical resource for customers and others in the organization.
  • Maintain accurate and legible customer and catalog files when appropriate.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area.
  • Comply with all company rules, policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to strict Safety Guidelines.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant technical degree and/or minimum two (2) years sales experience, preferably in the industry.
  • Excellent written & oral communication and strong relationship building skills required.
  • Detail oriented with solid organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Must be able to perform basic math functions, as well as understand and apply more complex calculations such as gross profit/gross margin and averages.
  • Solid computer skills including use of MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook), with a willingness to learn new software programs. Experience with Epicor Prophet 21 a plus.
  • Must be a good listener with above average reasoning ability and make minimal mistakes. Must be a good learner who can assimilate product knowledge and skills as they are presented.
  • Must be able to work with a wide variety of people and personalities.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • As MFCP is a small employer and employees work in a collaborative team environment, the employee must be physically present in the office to perform his/her job functions.
