Job description

Zelvin Security is seeking a Penetration Tester to perform Ethical Hacking engagements against modern applications, networks, and cloud environments. This role requires strong technical expertise and the ability to deliver actionable, evidence-based security findings. The ideal candidate demonstrates curiosity, technical creativity, critical thinking, and tenacity when identifying, validating, and exploiting complex security vulnerabilities. Beyond technical aptitude and a hunger to learn, this role requires a diplomatic, client-focused professional who can build trust and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Skills/Qualifications/Certifications

  • Strong understanding of networking, operating systems, web technologies, common attack vectors and exploitation techniques
  • Experience using penetration testing tools
  • Hold a bachelor's degree in IT Security, Computer Science, or a similar field or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Preferred certifications: OSCP, GIAC, GPEN, or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Perform manual penetration testing of cloud, on-prem, hybrid environments, and applications. This includes vulnerability discovery, exploitation, escalation, and attack path analysis.
  • Develop deliverables in accordance with internal standards and client authorization.
  • Clearly outline findings and outline actionable remediation strategies.
  • Research emerging technologies, trends, and evolve attack methodologies, tools, and deliverables to continuously improve.
  • Maintain detailed testing documentation and ensure deliverables meet internal quality standards and timelines.
  • Be positive, have a willingness to learn new tech, operate with integrity, and be a team player.
