Job Overview/Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Clinical Pharmacist to join our growing Pharmacy team. This is a full-time position with variable shifts, providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care while supporting patient safety and wellness across our healthcare facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and assist in the preparation of medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders

  • Detect therapeutic incompatibilities and ensure proper weighing, measuring, and mixing of ingredients

  • Dispense medications in accordance with legal and policy standards

  • Assess medication identity, strength, and purity

  • Maintain accurate records including patient profiles, inventories, and controlled substances

  • Monitor drug therapies and advise on pharmaceutical interventions

  • Organize and direct technician workflows; verify labeling and order entries

  • Utilize computer systems to screen for drug interactions, allergies, dosage issues, etc.

  • Provide drug-related information and counsel patients on therapies

  • Train and educate pharmacy staff, interns, and healthcare professionals

  • Adhere to all federal and state drug laws and regulations

  • Ensure safety through infection-control protocols

  • Support departmental and company-wide goals

  • Uphold all ethical standards and compliance requirements

Primary Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of pharmacology and pharmaceutical care standards

  • Competency in medication preparation, dispensing, and verification

  • Proficient in drug interaction screening and patient counseling

  • Strong organizational and documentation skills

  • Familiarity with state and federal pharmacy regulations

Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

  • Experience using pharmacy management systems

  • Previous experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting

  • Familiarity with barcode verification systems

  • Leadership or preceptorship experience

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an ACPE-accredited program
