Job description

Jaguar Palm Beach is looking for two Automotive Technician Apprentices to join our team.

This is a wonderful opportunity to grow and further develop your current mechanical skills by gaining hands-on training knowledge of luxury brands such as Jaguar, Aston Martin, and McLaren. The Automotive Technician Apprentice performs general repairs and diagnostics on various models of passenger vehicles in accordance with company policy and procedures. You must be able to perform all responsibilities with a focus on the needs of our customers and in accordance with our Quality Standards.

Responsibilities
 

  • Ensure that all repairs and preventative maintenance are completed according to the manufacturer’s specifications and guidelines.
  • Provide safe and reliable vehicles upon completion of repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Types of repairs will include brakes, onboard computer diagnostic and drivability, suspension, tires and more.
  • Perform vehicle servicing/repairing.
  • Maintain the work area in a safe and clean condition.
  • Perform related duties as required.

Qualifications
 

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Certification from an accredited automotive technical or trade school OR a minimum of three years of technical experience in an automotive repair shop servicing current model vehicles.
  • Must have experience using repair shop testing and service equipment.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and be able to lift, carry, push or pull a variety of tools, equipment, and materials; and balance, stoop, kneel and crouch (medium duty labor).
  • A minimum of basic level experience and understanding of a PC and Microsoft Office products required
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be available to work Saturdays as required
  • Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
  • This position requires a valid driver's license and a good driving record
