Job Description

Dimmitt is currently seeking a Service Technician Apprentice. The Apprentice Technician learns to perform vehicle maintenance and repair work in accordance with dealership and factory quality standards and procedures to obtain the highest in customer satisfaction. If you are a bright, motivated, and energetic professional, we encourage you to apply to join our world-class team.

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine services including oil changes, tire rotations, filter replacement, and checking and topping off of all fluids in a timely manner
  • Performs accurate and quality inspections in quarter time
  • Works and stays productive in a team atmosphere
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • A working knowledge of cars
  • Must have at least 1 year of dealership experience (anything less will not be considered)
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift and carry 50lbs
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Able to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles
  • Good communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
  • Highly professional and dependable
  • Safety and customer service oriented
  • Basic computer and internet skills
  • Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
