About the role:

The information technology (IT) intern will have the unique opportunity to gain in-depth experience in IT department, evaluating current IT infrastructure while proposing and implementing improvements for the current technology needs. The IT intern will develop and utilize their critical thinking and project management skills to support software, hardware, programming, analytics, and data centre management. The IT intern will have the opportunity to perform hands-on application while developing their decision-making skills in planning, Ability to work in teams and display good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting the IT team with tasks like troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining computer hardware and software, performing system backups, installing new applications, monitoring network performance, and providing basic user support, while gaining hands-on experience

• Support in delivering elements of systems design, including data migration rules, business rules, wireframes, or other detailed deliverables.

• Support inventory management of IT equipment, troubleshooting hardware failures, coordinating repairs.

• Ability to diagnose technical issues and find solutions effectively.

• Support for development of IT projects (messaging app, RFID), testing new applications, monitoring and documenting processes.

• Facilitating design sessions with the implementation team to define the solution. Performing requirements analysis.

• Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports.

• Performing user acceptance testing. user feedback. documenting and communicating the results of the efforts.

Candidate requirements:

• Currently enrolled in a degree program related to Information Technology, Computer Science, or a relevant field.

• Prior experience with IT support or personal projects demonstrating technical skills is beneficial.

• Basic understanding of operating systems (Windows, Mac), networking concepts, and common software applications. Has learning agility, eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing IT environments
