Role Objectives:
The IT Intern - Data, Automation & Solutions will support the Information Technology function by partnering with cross-functional departments to understand business needs and help design innovative, technology-driven solutions. This role provides hands-on experience in database design, data analysis, automation, and system optimization, contributing to improved efficiency, data accessibility, and informed decision-making across the organization.

What You'll Do:
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to gather and translate business and technical requirements into scalable data solutions.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries and support relational database design to enable efficient data analysis and reporting.
  • Build Python-based scripts and automations to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and drive process improvements, presenting insights through dashboards (e.g., Tableau) for diverse audiences.
  • Support system enhancements and integration efforts, including testing and implementing new tools and AI-driven solutions.
  • Assist with evaluating, testing, and implementing AI-enabled tools or solutions to enhance system efficiency and usability. 
  • Support system integrations, enhancements, and optimization efforts under the guidance of senior IT or data team members. 
  • Prepare and maintain documentation, including process maps, technical notes, and user guidance. 
  • Participate in project meetings, provide status updates, and contribute ideas to continuous improvement initiatives. 
What You'll Need:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics, Engineering, or a related field. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.  
  • Demonstrated interest in data, automation, and emerging technologies, including AI.  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.  
  • High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.  
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a collaborative team. 
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods as part of normal day-to-day activities, with reasonable accommodations considered where appropriate
