About This Role

We are seeking a dedicated Teacher Assistant to join our team, providing support to our Teachers and Director in creating a nurturing environment for our children. This role requires excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to observe and document children's progress and relay information back to parents and staff. The ideal candidate will be able to design engaging activities based on children's interests and needs, and maintain a safe and clean learning environment.


What You'll Do
  • Encourage children to participate in educational activities and foster a sense of community by actively engaging in class discussions and activities.
  • Maintain a well-organized and clean classroom, ensuring that materials are readily available for children to use.
  • Develop strong relationships with parents by keeping them informed through regular progress reports and informal discussions.
  • Model good hygiene and self-help skills, promoting a positive and respectful environment for children to learn.
  • Ensure a smooth transition from home to child care center by maintaining open communication with families and caregivers.
  • Adhere to all center policies and state regulations, prioritizing the health, safety, and well-being of our children.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development, continually improving the quality of our educational program.

Requirements
  • Must pass health screening and clear full background check.
  • Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
  • An understanding of child development.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
