CACI International has an immediate opening for a Journeyman Computer Systems Engineer located at Ft. Bragg, N.C.
The Opportunity:
Responsible for resolving IT hardware and soft ware infrastructure (servers, network, security, etc.) issues using systems analysis techniques and procedures to ensure appropriate function of hardware, soft ware or system functional specifications. Analyzes, troubleshoots and resolves issues with IT infrastructure including user systems, servers, storage and network connectivity. Provides system administration for assigned infrastructure and establishes and maintains security as it relates to users. Applies security patches and operating system upgrades to ensure the security and integrity of the technical environment. Supports new infrastructure projects. Maintains all configuration documentation for assigned infrastructure.
The successful candidate must be able to communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner. The candidate will be required to work in dynamic fast paced environments that require team interaction and coordination of efforts. The candidate must be experienced in interfacing with both client managers and system users and will report directly to the Task Manager.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct general system troubleshooting and system maintenance
  • Understand and adhere to change management protocols
  • Implement and manage service monitoring across multiple networks
  • Oversee and maximize virtual machine operations while also being able to utilize Linux command line prompts and Linux system administration
  • Provide help-desk support to all members of the unit in troubleshooting existing technologies and incorporating new technologies into the unit.
  • Create and manage Windows User Accounts, Group/Group Permissions and File Permissions
  • Manage VMWare Virtual Machine Environment used for tactical datalink operations.
  • Provide help direct IT support to users working datalink Ecosystem

Qualifications:
Required:
Must have a current/active TS/SCI security clearance
• Security+
• Experience in providing system administration for help desk support
• Experience with general networking concepts
• Extensive experience with VMware and servers
• Experience with server hardware
• Capability to research and remediate issues by self-learning
• Knowledge, skills and experience with Windows and Linux server platforms
• At least 2 years of experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Active Directory, NetApp Storage Solutions, VMWare, and Linux Server soft ware. Security+ certification.
• Performs systems architecture design and engineering.
Network+, Microsoft Certified Professional Server, Desktop and Active Directory certifications are desired
