JOB OVERVIEW:
At NCCI, we are looking for a Senior Systems Consultant to join our Platform Engineering team. This role will contribute to the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable, secure, and cost-effective infrastructure solutions across our hybrid cloud environments.
You will provide solutions and architecture leadership in Cloud technologies, Linux, Kubernetes, automation, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), with a strong focus on Terraform and Ansible and modern engineering practices that improve reliability, consistency, and speed of delivery. Additionally, you will design and execute Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies and create automated workflows.
This position can be staffed at a Systems Consultant or Senior Systems Consultant level dependent upon the selected candidate's experience.
This position will work in a flexible-hybrid environment. The selected candidate must be local within commutable distance to our Boca Raton, FL headquarters.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Provide architectural guidance and technical expertise in the design and implementation of enterprise infrastructure solutions across Linux, Kubernetes, virtualization, storage, backup, disaster recovery, security, and automation platforms
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement Infrastructure as Code solutions, with an emphasis on Terraform-based provisioning, reusable modules, and standardized automation patterns
  • Translate strategic architecture and conceptual designs into actionable implementation plans and guide teams through execution across environments
  • Provide technical leadership for complex infrastructure initiatives, ensuring solutions align with enterprise standards, best practices, security expectations, and operational support models
  • Evaluate new technologies and recommend platforms, patterns, and solutions that improve scalability, resiliency, efficiency, and long-term maintainability
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and support modern platform capabilities for application and infrastructure services
  • Assess risk, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and develop sustainable resolution strategies for critical production systems and large-scale infrastructure changes
  • Establish and promote standards, blueprints, roadmaps, and best practices for platform architecture, automation, documentation, and operational excellence
  • Stay current on emerging technologies, DevOps practices, cloud capabilities, and infrastructure automation trends to continuously evolve the hybrid cloud ecosystem

WHAT IT TAKES:
  • Bachelor's Degree or additional related work experience
  • 10+ years of broad IT infrastructure experience in medium to large enterprise environments
  • Proven ability to lead large, complex technical projects and guide cross-functional teams through architecture and implementation decisions
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, collaboration skills
  • Ability to present new concepts and designs to all levels of partners
  • Ability to work in a 24x7 support environment as required
  • Expert knowledge in:
    • Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS installation, administration, and debugging, infrastructure design and platform engineering
    • Designing, build, and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform, along with related automation and scripting tools
    • Configuration management and automation using Ansible
    • CI/CD practices, source control, and modern infrastructure delivery models
    • DevOps and Container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Gitlab, Kafka)
    • Cloud platforms, specifically OCI, Azure and hybrid infrastructure environments
    • Change management, disaster recovery, and security best practices for infrastructure platforms

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Relevant certifications such as HashiCorp Terraform Associate, Red Hat, Kubernetes, or Cloud certifications
