Job Description:

 

This role will support systems design, requirements development, systems verification, requirements traceability, avionics integration, qualification support, and technical scope execution across active program deliverables.

The position involves working across engineering, program management, test, and integrated product teams to close technical commitments while maintaining cost, schedule, and scope discipline.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Support systems design activities for assigned systems engineering scope.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain system requirements across program technical baselines.
  • Own systems verification planning, execution tracking, and closure evidence.
  • Maintain requirements traceability across program artifacts, verification evidence, qualification outputs, and technical baselines.
  • Support avionics integration activities, interface coordination, and issue resolution across systems, software, hardware, test, and program teams.
  • Drive assigned technical scope to closure while managing cost, schedule, and execution risk.
  • Support qualification planning, test readiness, anomaly resolution, and verification documentation.
  • Coordinate with integrated product teams to identify requirement gaps, verification gaps, interface issues, and execution blockers.
  • Prepare clear technical status, risks, decisions, and closure plans for engineering and program leadership.
  • Support Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), CAMEO, and requirements traceability activities in support of customer requirements and program execution needs.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline and a minimum 9 years of experience supporting systems engineering activities or Graduate Degree and minimum of 7 years of related experience. 
  • Experience with requirements development, systems verification, verification evidence, interface coordination, or technical baseline management.
  • Ability to work across engineering disciplines, program management, test, manufacturing, suppliers, and other stakeholders to drive technical closure.
  • Ability to manage assigned work scope with cost, schedule, and technical accountability.

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

 

  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Systems Modeling Language (SysML), or CAMEO.
  • Familiarity with AI tools or AI-enabled workflows that improve engineering quality, traceability, analysis, or execution speed.
  • Experience with requirements management or traceability tools such as DOORS, Jama, CAMEO, Teamcenter, or similar systems.
  • Experience supporting avionics, mission systems, aircraft modification, qualification, or flight-test programs.
  • Experience preparing verification plans, verification reports, qualification evidence, or technical closure packages.
  • Experience identifying and resolving requirement gaps, interface gaps, or verification evidence gaps.
