Position Summary

Altera managed services IT Team located at Springhill Medical Center in Mobile, Alabama is seeking Associate Computer Operator to join our Information Technology team in Mobile, Alabama. This entry-level role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our critical IT systems and data management processes. An ideal candidate will be a proactive individual with a foundational understanding of IT operations, eager to learn, and committed to maintaining high standards of quality and service in a dynamic healthcare technology environment. Altera Digital health provides managed services to Springhill Medical Center's facilities and is located on the hospital's main site in Mobile, AL.


Key Responsibilities

As an Associate Computer Operator, you will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring computer systems, networks, and applications to ensure continuous operation and identify potential issues.
  • Executing scheduled batch jobs, data backups, and system processes accurately and on time.
  • Responding to system alerts, error messages, and operational incidents, performing initial troubleshooting, and escalating complex issues to appropriate teams.
  • Maintaining detailed operational logs and documentation of system activities, incidents, and resolutions.
  • Adhering strictly to operational procedures, security protocols, and data integrity standards.
  • Collaborating effectively with other IT teams and internal stakeholders to support system maintenance and problem resolution.
  • Participating in on-call rotations and providing after-hours support during peak times, including end-of-month/quarter/year, as required to meet business needs.
  • Demonstrating a commitment to quality by following relevant procedures and paying attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Communicating clearly and concisely with team members and clients regarding system status and operational updates.

Role Requirement


  • Total Years of Experience: 0-2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree (Preferred).

  • Ability to follow established procedures and protocols.
