Job Description

Position Title System Engineer Level 3 - Automated Manufacturing - IL #2717

Relocation Yes

Location Rockford IL

Duties

Availability of travel domestic and international at least up to 75% of the time (mandatory)

Trouble shooting of wiring and electrical systems

Trouble shooting of fluid and electrical servo activated systems

Troubleshooting of closed and open loop axes control

Software load, logic debugging and parameters configuration

Machine drive axis tuning (static and dynamic)

Perform demonstration and/or final acceptance test with customers Maintenance training for customers

Train junior system engineers

Qualifications

CNC machine parameters and axis drive parameters tuning

CNC geometry and positioning axis compensation

Ability to align and use positioning, straightness and geometry measuring lasers

5 axis Traori set up

Step 7 logic troubleshooting and modification in ladder language

Step 7 logic troubleshooting and modification in STL (AWL) language

High level of competence

Solid communication skills

Able to effectively organize and prioritize day to day activities

Experience

5 years of related experience in an automated manufacturing environment           

Education

Technical degree required or a minimum of 5 years of related experience in an automated manufacturing environment

Computer Skills

Experience in using standard Office applications, e.g. Word, Excel
