Job description

Echodyne is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join our team working in a fast-paced startup environment, developing next-generation RADAR systems.

The Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for acting as a liaison between IT and functional users on various lines of business systems applications and projects. The position will define and document system requirements, scope, and objectives, and create system specifications that drive system development and implementation. This position reports to the Director of Information Technology.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Information Technology and the functional subject matter experts/leads for Echodyne's line of business systems.
  • Develop business intelligence reports and dashboards.
  • Lead client meetings to gather business requirements and documents, and analyze customer requirements.
  • Elicits business requirements through detailed review and analysis of existing systems and processes. Translating these into effective workflows focusing on process automation.
  • Serve as lead on new implementations and upgrades of assigned applications.
  • Provide ongoing maintenance and solve technical challenges and problems involving integrated systems.
  • Tests and verifies software releases, upgrades, and any changes prior to the promotion of code to the production environment.
  • Generate and update appropriate documentation as per policy and procedures. Including requirements, specification, change control, end user documentation.
  • Provide education and training for application end user community - keeping them informed of new release feature/functionality, changes/revisions that impact the operation.
  • Other related tasks required to fulfill the needs of the business.
REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited institution and 2+ years of direct experience related to the essential functions of this job OR 6+ years of direct experience related to the essential functions of this job.
  • Eligibility to handle export-controlled data (ITAR, EAR).
  • Ability to offer excellent customer service via email, phone, and in person to a wide variety of end-users with different levels of computer needs and expertise.
  • Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
  • Experience with Tulip or similar MES systems.
  • Experience creating and deploying business intelligence reports and dashboards.
  • Experience in business process development is required.
  • Strong understanding of software implementation life cycle, project management, business process management, requirements definition, functional design, quality and change management.
  • Experience in planning, organizing, and managing time across multiple tasks.
  • Ability to independently complete tasks in a timely and organized manner.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to learn and support new systems and applications.
DESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE 
(Looking for one or more as a complement to the core skills)
 
  • 2+ years' experience with NetSuite.
  • 2+ years' experience with Tulip.
