Job description

The Scott Carpinelli Agency is seeking a highly motivated, goal-oriented, and energetic Insurance Sales Representative to join our Arlington Heights team. In this role, you will be on the front lines of driving growth for the agency by advising clients on their insurance needs, selling Farmers Insurance products (Auto, Home, Life, and Business), and delivering exceptional customer service.


We are looking for a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about building long-term relationships within the local Arlington Heights community and the greater Chicagoland area.

Responsibilities

Sales Lead Generation

  • Drive New Business: Prospect for new clients through networking, cold calling, community events, and utilizing agency-provided leads.
  • Quote Close: Consult with prospective clients, assess their financial and insurance needs, present appropriate Farmers Insurance product options, and close sales.
  • Cross-Selling: Identify opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell existing clients to ensure comprehensive coverage across auto, home, life, and commercial lines.


Client Service Retention

  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with policyholders to ensure high retention rates and generate referrals.
  • Policy Reviews: Conduct annual or semi-annual insurance reviews with clients to update their coverage as their life circumstances change.
  • Inquiry Resolution: Assist clients with policy changes, billing inquiries, and the initial stages of the claims process in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Administration Compliance
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all client interactions, quotes, and policy details in the agency’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Underwriting Alignment: Ensure all policies are written in compliance with Farmers Insurance underwriting guidelines and state regulations.
Requirements

Requirements Qualifications

  • Licensing: Active Illinois Property Casualty (PC) license is preferred. An active Life Health (LH) license is a strong plus. (Note: Unlicensed candidates willing to obtain their licenses prior to or shortly after hiring may be considered).
  • Experience: Previous experience in sales, customer service, or the insurance industry is highly desirable.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex insurance concepts in simple terms.
  • Drive: Self-motivated, competitive, and target-driven with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
