Job description

The Golf Shop Attendant responsibility is to provide exemplary customer service. This is the top priority over all others.

  • Ensures the pro shop, inventory stock room, clubhouse, and f&b areas presentation and appearance is always clean, pleasing to the eye, and impeccable in its presentation.
  • Attends a monthly golf staff meeting that covers training, customer service, and progress since the prior month.
  • Ensures all guests receive the highest level of service.
  • Touring the golf shop several times an hour to ensure it is operating according to Bobby Jones Golf Course standards.
  • Arrives to work in uniform with name tag on
  • Keep the golf shop organized and stocked.
  • Assist all golfers with their check-in when they arrive. Greet them with a smile and direct them to the golf course or practice range.
  • Anticipates the guests needs.
  • Assists in set-up and operation of all tournaments and events.
  • Assists the Golf Professional staff daily.

The Golf Shop Attendant at Bay Point Golf Club must have the following skills:

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to:

  • Walk and or stand for long periods of time. Sit, bend, talk, hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and to lift overhead and push/pull, move lighter objects.
