Job description

You will serve as a COMPUTER SCIENTIST in the Unmanned Technologies Branch, Unmanned Oceanogrophay Division, Oceanographic Department of NAVOCEANO BAY ST LOUIS.Qualifications:In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of SPECIALIZED experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
  • Experience in leading software and information technology efforts and designing complex scientific and technical systems.
  • Experience coordinating, developing, and leading a variety of software-intensive projects, including but not limited to conceptualizing, designing, implementing, and documenting new technologies.
  • Experience in providing technical operations support, logistics, and advanced data analysis.
  • Experience providing formal documentation and training.
  • Experience developing and conducting tests of new hardware and software; and implementing procedures to assimilate, process, and analyze complex data.
  • Experience serving as a point of contact for coordination related to scientific and technical capabilities.
