Position Summary

The Data Scientist, specializing in AI and Advanced Analytics, plays a key role within Amplifiโ€™s consulting team, combining handโ€‘on technical execution with client advisory to design and deliver scalable analytics and AI solutions.

You will work across the full lifecycle, from identifying use cases to deploying productionโ€‘ready models, while partnering closely with clients to translate business challenges into dataโ€‘driven outcomes.

  • Partner with clients to define business problems, assess data accessibility, and shape practical analytics and AI solutions.
  • Develop a range of outputs including quick proofs of concepts, up to large, scalable, sustained data products.
  • Access data (e.g. via APIs), prepare data, and generate features as required for modeling tasks.
  • Design, build, and deploy machine learning models across a range of use cases (e.g., forecasting, segmentation, pattern detection).
  • Analyze structured and unstructured data to generate insights, statistical findings, and develop highโ€‘quality data products.
  • Lead AI and predictive modeling initiatives, including LLMโ€‘based/GenAI applications, computer vision, and traditional ML solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver scalable data pipelines and solutions across modern platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Dataiku, cloud).
  • Communicate insights clearly through visualizations, dashboards, and executiveโ€‘ready storytelling.
  • Mentor team members, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and development within Amplifi.
Necessary Skills / Attributes
  • Experience with modern data platforms and AI/ML development tools (e.g., Dataiku, Databricks, or similar)
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with API/JSON integrations.
  • Experience with statistical analysis and interpretation of data.
  • Experience with machine learning algorithms for prediction, classification, and time series.
  • Experience building and deploying AI/ML solutions (predictive models, LLMs, computer vision, etc.)
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills; comfortable presenting to the Cโ€‘suite and working alongside data engineers alike
  • Experience in Agile project delivery environments
Education / Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or analytics
  • Master's degree in Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
Travel

Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
