Position Summary:

The Cybersecurity Analyst provides entry-level cybersecurity support for facility-related control systems (FRCS) and broader operational technology (OT) environments aboard the Marine Corps installation. This role supports cybersecurity activities across FRCS/OT networks with a primary focus on the Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DoW systems. The Analyst assists in policy development, compliance assessments, and security documentation while contributing to the monitoring and protection of mission-critical OT assets. , Analyst helps evaluate cybersecurity risks, supports accreditation activities, and responds to client-driven cybersecurity needs to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of FRCS/OT systems. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a foundational understanding of RMF including the tools required to harden systems (STIGs and ACAS/Nessus) ย are essential for success in this position.


Essential Functions:

Policy, Compliance and Analysis:

  • Strong analysis capability: Assess current security policy, identify potential improvements and solutions to existing issues and develop/draft appropriate policy documents. Experience drafting RMF related plans such as the COOP, DRP, IRP and SSP is valuable.
  • IT, RMF, & OT knowledge: baseline knowledge of terminology and requirements.
  • Strong communication skills - written and verbal.
  • Strong time management skills: ability to track tasks and provide timely deliverables.
  • Participates in the development of the assigned work plan, work activities, projects, and programs; monitors workflow; reviews and evaluates work products, methods and procedures for FRCS.
  • Knowledge of RMF systems such as MCCAST but primarily eMASS is highly valuable.

Security Policy and Compliance:

  • Develop, enforce, and update cybersecurity policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Experience and knowledge with ACAS, Nessus and STIGs
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., NIST, CIS).
  • Conduct threat research.

Documentation Management:

  • Develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation, i.e. meeting minutes and progress reports.
  • Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Facilitate effective communication among project teams, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates on project status, milestones, and key deliverable
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify dependencies, mitigate risks, and resolve issues to achieve successful project outcomes.ย

Required Certificates & Licenses:ย 

  • CompTIA Security+ - Obtained within 6 months upon hire date.


Desired Certificates & Licenses:ย 

  • Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, GIAC, CASP).ย 


Other Requirements:

  • Security Clearance: Obtaining a DoD Secret Clearance. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for clearance level required for the job.
  • Valid Passport: Possession of a current passport with a minimum of 8 months remaining until the expiration date.
  • Travel Flexibility: Willingness and capability to travel, CONUS approximately 5% of the time.ย 
  • Work Environment Compliance: Commitment to maintaining a drug-free work environment, U.S. Citizenship, and possession of a valid state driver's license
