The Role:
  • Assist the Screening Manager in tracking performance of screening activities for prospective research volunteers
  • Responsible for assisting for day-to-day volunteer marketing and recruitment activities to meet study enrollment timelines
  • Responsible for ensuring volunteer recruitment practices are fair and ethical
  • Support Screening Manager by providing cover and assistance with screening set up for upcoming studies/cohorts
  • To comply & adhere to GCP guidelines and regulations as required of this role
  • To ensure study data is collected to a high quality in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards
  • To ensure subject safety at all times

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Work with Screening Manager, PI, and Clinical Lead to understand demands/strategy for studies to ensure advertising plans meet the requirements
  • Responsible for assisting the Screening Manager for updating the company volunteer recruitment website in advance of the screening start date
  • Posting of social media for volunteer recruitment (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter etc.) and responding to comments on all platforms (as applicable)
  • Preparation of Admission Lists, Screening Logs as needed
  • Thoroughly read and understand protocols and train screening staff on protocol prior to start of recruitment or screening
  • Ensures ethical and adequate recruitment and screening of prospective research volunteers for studies
  • Explains research study and obtains proper informed consent. Ensures consents are completed prior to the performance of any screening activities
  • Obtains medical histories and documents findings according to SOPs, protocol specific requirements and Good Clinical Practice
  • Assists with the performance and/or scheduling of all screening procedures required by protocol
  • Assists in obtaining clinical laboratory specimens and shipping to the appropriate laboratory as needed
  • Reviews abnormal results of screening tests with the Investigators and alerts volunteers of results, which need further medical evaluation
  • Reviews completed screening charts for completeness and conformity with protocol requirements. Reports and documents any clinical results or compliance issues which would lead to study exclusion
  • Ensures that screen failures charts are properly archived in a timely manner
  • Assists with other duties as assigned
  • Liaise with the medical team to assess volunteer suitability for inclusion on the database where required
  • Respond to volunteer queries, involving other staff as appropriate in order to provide the best response

The Candidate:
  • Associate degree (preferred) or high school graduate
  • At least 2 years' experience of working in a health-related environment, preferably clinical research
  • Fluent in English/Spanish
  • Computer proficient and ability to navigate through various specialized computerized systems
  • Demonstration of digital skills in social media communications
  • Good understanding of the latest online marketing concepts, strategy, and best practice
  • Demonstration of initiating, delivering, and analyzing advertising campaigns for recruitment of volunteers
  • Excellent organizational skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and prioritize effectively to meet required deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail oriented and self-directed
