Part-Time (10-15 hours per week) Fundamentals of Computer Science Teacher (High School Credit)

East Cooper Montessori Charter School is seeking a qualified, student-centered educator to teach Fundamentals of Computer Science, a high school credit-bearing course, during the 2026–2027 school year.

Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)
  • Valid South Carolina Teacher Certificate with appropriate Middle School or Secondary certification required.
  • Must hold certification that qualifies the teacher to teach the course for high school credit under South Carolina requirements.
  • Must complete the required 30-hour South Carolina Department of Education Fundamentals of Computer Science training (training provided if not already completed).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching computer science or technology courses.
  • Ability to engage middle school students in hands-on, inquiry-based learning.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • An appreciation for Montessori philosophy and student-centered instruction.
