Title: Lead Software Engineer

Location: Chicago, IL

Type: permanent

Job description:

The primary objective of this role is to manage and develop the product feature roadmap as it relates to the backend system and API's for a quickly growing early stage startup.

The hire will be required to make key decisions on system architecture and lead integrations with third party systems. This role will be fundamental in helping chose future developer hires and crafting the processes and requirements for our technology team as the business scales.


Qualifications

Required qualification:

3+ years full stack web development experience (LAMP)

3+ years of API development experience

Advanced MySQL skills - querying, optimization, indexing, complex joins and

Formal education in Computer Science or a related discipline.

1+ year experience working with at least one community-driven framework


Nice-to-Haves;

Formal education in Computer Science or a related discipline.

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum workflow.

       Fluent in other programming languages
