We are currently seeking a Sr. Java Developer (FTE / Hybrid / Onsite Interview Preferred) to join our team in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania (US-PA), United States (US).

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • This position requires a foundation of software development knowledge, and the ability to work in an Agile team environment.  You should be adaptable, possess a wide range of technical skills, and demonstrate the ability to understand financial services business requirements. You should be a strong 'utility' type programmer with the ability to switch context quickly and efficiently with project managers, database engineers, technical operations and other platform personnel
  • Develop code based on reading and understanding business and functional requirements following the Agile process
  • Produce high-quality code to meet all project deadlines and ensure the functionality matches the requirements
  • Analyze and resolve issues found during the testing or pre-production phases of the software delivery lifecycle, coordinating changes with project team leaders and cross-work team members
  • Provide technical support to project team members and respond to inquiries regarding errors or questions about programs
  • Interact with architects, technical leads, team members and project managers as required to address technical and schedule issues.
  • Suggest and implement process improvements for estimating development and testing processes
  • Demonstrated a commitment to quality, writing unit tests with Junit and Mockito
    Proficiency in Analysis, Design, Build, and Deployment of Java applications and Microservices
    A desire to continue to learn and pick up new technologies and skills
  • Good to Have
  • Experience with container-based deployments such as Kubernetes, Docker, Docker Compose, Vagrant is a plus
  • Understand Asynchronous and Synchronous messaging. Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, JMS, MDBs
  • Work experience with any of the following - PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Linux/UNIX Shell Programming, Python is a plus
  • Work experience in developing Web Applications with Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, CSS, HTML, Bootstrap is a plus
  • A minimum of 2 years' work experience within Financial Services industry including banking, wealth management, investment management, asset data and investment processing is preferred

Basic Qualification :

  • BS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or applicable programming area of study
  • Experience :
  • 5+ years prior work experience working with an application development organization; must demonstrate experience delivering systems and projects from inception through implementation
  • 5+ years of experience in Java, Spring MVC and/or Spring Boot.
  • 5+ years of experience in Database access methods and SQL constructs
  • 3+ years of experience with Build & Deployment tools such as Maven, GIT, Terraform a plus

NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for U.S.-based positions. The starting pay range for this role is $96,800 to $145,200. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. 

This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
