Job Description

The purpose of the internship is to provide a current student or recent graduate with practical, hands-on experience in a technical setting while contributing to meaningful projects that support the goals of the department and organization. The intern will gain exposure to day-to-day operations, develop key professional skills, and explore potential career paths.ResponsibilitiesPrimary ResponsibilitiesAssist in maintaining and updating departmental databases, spreadsheets, and content management systemsSupport the implementation and troubleshooting of office technology, software applications, and digital toolsHelp create and update technical documentation, user guides, and standard operating proceduresPerform data entry, validation, cleanup, and basic reporting using Excel, Google Sheets, or database toolsAid in system testing, form development, and workflow automation projects using platforms like Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, or institution-specific toolsProvide first-level technical support to staff and faculty, including software setup, printer troubleshooting, and login/access issuesContribute to process improvement initiatives through research, analysis, and documentationCollaborate with IT staff or business analysts on technology-driven projects or service requestsPresent a final project or summary of learning to the team at the end of the internship.This job description includes a general representation of job requirements rather than a comprehensive inventory of all required responsibilities or work activities.
